Johnson wants more 'slick and confident' Hibs
FT: Hibernian 1-3 Rangers
Hibernian manager Lee Johnson tells Sportsound: "Clearly, technically they are a better side than us which you would expect. They played their technical players today, they moved the ball around well.
"When we countered, we looked dangerous particularly in first half and down the left. We need more end product and we know that.
"That's our progression as a football club. We've had seven games against the Old Firm and only taken a point. To take more, we have to recruit and develop better.
"Tactically we were okay, we worked our socks off and we weren't without chances by the way.
"At the first goal, we were well in the game and although we were still in it second-half, for whatever reason, our lack of concentration has allowed them to score a second."

"We're trying to drive the club forward. The dirty winner in me wants to do more than we did today. I'd have pulled Cantwell's headband straight off the back of his head [for the free kick for the opener], but I'm not a player anymore!
"My point is, I want us to commit and be good at the dark arts, and have quality play. We do show that. But this team has got to get better, get more confident and slick. It will. But the frustration for me is that I want it yesterday."
How it stands
Rangers close to eight points behind champions Celtic, not that it matters now, but they are finishing strongly.
Hibs are now four behind rivals Hearts, and have St Mirren breathing down their necks in the race for Europe with two games to go.
Their hopes of third are very slim now.
St Johnstone confirmed their safety yesterday, but the bottom three will fight to avoid the drop.
Mouth-watering stuff.

Beale hints at signing announcement
FT: Hibernian 1-3 Rangers
More from Michael Beale on Sportsound: "We don't think there's anything majorly wrong [with Raskin]. Hopefully he's just caught a nerve and it'll settle down overnight.
"There'll be one or two players, whether they start or come on, will get a chance to say farewell to the fans [against Hearts].
"We'll make a statement on Tuesday on that, so the fans are aware. Some people in our squad have been unbelievable for Rangers since 2018 and it's right they get the send-off they deserve.
"We need to win the next two games. Our form has been strong. We're everywhere we want to be moving into next year.
"I don't want to end the season slowly. If we shown the same mentality in the next two games that we showed today, we'll be fine.
"I'm really happy with where things are at. We can't announce anything, the window isn't open yet. When it opens, we'll be ready to announce one or two things. One might be announced on Wednesday at Ibrox."
Beale satisfied with 'comfortable' Rangers
FT: Hibernian 1-3 Rangers
Rangers manager Michael Beale tells Sportsound: "People won't know, but the preparation was horrific. We lost Morelos and Kamara yesterday in training, Rabbi Matondo in the warm up, Scott Wright overnight. The mentality of the starting team was fantastic.
"That was a big, important game for Hibs but we looked comfortable throughout. We were the dominant team, we might have scored more. I was pleased for Tav and Hagi scoring, and Todd keeping his run going.

"I thought the game was about John Souttar, he was outstanding today. He led from the back, a young back four.
"I thought Hibs were trying to play down the side with Youan and get Nisbet in the game. We went two-for-two and gambled. The first goal gave us a push, but after that some of the football we played was good.
"Our form in the league, away from home, since I came back, I've been delighted with."

Big fending off a drunk uncle vibes from that Cantwell photo. Great stuff.

I've seen Cantwell twice in the last week and he's a very good footballer. He gets about the pitch, doesn't give it away, and he's adding goals.

Impressive Rangers

Rangers' football, when they are at it is really, really impressive. They pop it about. The only time they gave Hibs encouragement is when they got sloppy.
Hibs have got a long way to go to get to that standard of performance. Saying that though, it's not like Rangers cut them wide open.
Rangers are in a good place at this moment in time, in terms of what Michael Beale wants.

Hibernian had moments in the game but they didn't manage to capitalise on them. They had three really decent chances.
But, Rangers had a lot of control in the game and they were clinical. When you look at all three goals that Hibs conceded, they'll be disappointed with all of them. But you can't argue that Rangers didn't deserve all three points.
FULL-TIME - Hibernian 1-3 Rangers
All over.
A fairly entertaining game in which Rangers took their chances and Hibs didn't.
It means Lee Johnson's side have only a small chance of finishing third now.

Rangers will be livid that they've given up a clean sheet.
Paul Hanlon has been a great servant for Hibs and it's a great header. I think Hibs have deserved a goal, they've created numerous chances and they've been unlucky.

Consolation.
A corner is just whipped in at the near post and Hanlon glances the ball into the far corner.
That's the first goal Robby McCrorie has conceded in five games as Rangers goalkeeper.

Todd Cantwell has shown he can score goals, he's shown another side to his game. He's been outstanding.
If that's the kind of quality that Michael Beale is looking to bring to Ibrox - and he said he wants to bring six or seven in - Rangers will be a formidable side next year.

It's a brilliant counter attack from Rangers and David Marshall is really unlucky.
Throughout the game Hibs have, at times, been in it. They've certainly had chances to score but ultimately 3-0 is a drubbing.

Game over!
A bit calamitous from Hibs.
James Tavernier's shot is blocked, it hits back off him and David Marshall is helpless as the ball bobbles off his outstretched leg and Cantwell stabs home from a few yards.
