โข 6 yr. ago JErhnam Tips for Sword+Shield Good character I've been playing Skyrim non-stop since it was released on Switch, I have clocked like 40h on pure mage and another 50h on an assassin. I did complete different quests on both characters.

It's a fun weapon skill. The main difference is that 2H is like going 70% offense and 30% defense, while Sword/Shield is the opposite. There are some good 1H builds that do respectable damage, but they just don't keep up with 2H in that regard--especially if you're an Orc.

One handed perks are very limited though. The only one handed perks you really need are the Bladesman and standing power attack one. Sword and Shield is more dangerous than 2H in the long run though. A normal shield bash can stun a dragon quite a bit, power bashing can disarm even Druagr Deathlords, and Shield Charging knocks over the fleeing.
