It moved to a spot off Leavenworth before relocating to its home on West Broadway in Council Bluffs. Dixie Quicks was one of the first restaurants in the city to serve brunch and became known for co-owner Rene Orduna's Mexican dishes. The restaurant and art gallery features a tribute to Orduna, who died in November 2016 of cancer of the kidneys.
