Using a serrated knife, level the top of the pound cake and if desired, straighten up the sides to make it a uniform rectangle. (Save the scraps for something else.)

Add the berries and stir to mix throughout. Transfer the batter to a buttered or parchment lined 9×13 pan. ( This pan is my favorite!) Use your hands to press it into an even layer. Step 1 (Picture 1 above)- In a large bowl, beat the butter on medium high speed til smooth. Add the granulated sugar and mix on high speed for 2 minutes. Step 2 (Picture 2 above)- Reduce speed to low speed. Mix in the egg whites one at a time, beating well after each addition.

Add the heavy cream, powdered sugar and vanilla extract to your stand mixer and whip to stiff peaks, then fold in the prepared vanilla pudding. Mix the berries with the two tablespoons of sugar and let sit for 5 minutes. Layer in your trifle bowl the pound cake, then pudding, then berries. Make a second layer of the pound cake, then pudding.
