Last year Trader Joe's introduced what I think was their first original candy bar. The Lumpy Bumpy Bar did not live up to my Trader Joe's expectations (and they rarely disappoint me).. This year they have the new PB&J Bar which features peanut butter, milk and dark chocolate and raspberry jam.. The box is hot pink with eye-numbing blue & orange text. It in no way reflects my expectations.

These PB& J Snack Duos consist of individual packages of peanut butter-filled wafer sticks paired with a raspberry jam for dipping. The wafer sticks are a bit like pirouline cookies but shorter. So when we saw these, they were the perfect pick for our last week. A box of 6 bars costs $2.69. Described on the box as "soft and chewy oat bar with creamy peanut butter and strawberry fruit filling." A mom's (my) take: The texture and taste of these remind me very much of Nutrigrain bars. Soft, oat-y crust with a thin layer of fruit filling.
